My mum is dying of cancer, she is at her home and I have been caring for her for the last 3 months, although this time has been very difficult and sad at times, it has also been a time where mum and I have become very close and shared some lovely time together,
I was just wondering what the was the 1st photograph I took of her, so I been off looking for shots of her....

Happy New Year to the good old NHS
Its a been a strange new year, started with my mum having a heart attack on the 30/12 and finished with her recovering in hospital and coming away from there last night feeling very grateful that I still have a mum. My thanks goes out to the team at the A&E and resuscitation unit for not letting my mum go to the big jazz club in the sky just yet.

Restoration Drama
At this time of year there is nothing like the warth and glow of a fire to lift the spirits. A Victorian pub was the perfect building for Owen Pacey to convert into a showroom for his reclaimed furniture store. But having aslo made his home above it, the more beautiful pieces he acquires dont't always linger downstairs for long. Even Paceys dog Missey is reclaimed, she was a stray that ended up at the local police station. renaissancelondon.com

Christmas Holiday
Christmas holiday this year was a great time for me with very mixed blessing, my mum was diagnose with cancer in early December, that was the reason for coming back from our house in India and since then most my time has been taken up with doctors and hospital visit. The good side has is that I have been with my mum much more than I would have normally done, we have become much closer and I feel good that I have been able to help. My family have made time for us all to be together and it was a great time of family, food and open fires and a real Christmas spirit .
