Restoration Drama Saturday Times

Restoration Drama
At this time of year there is nothing like the warth and glow of a fire to lift the spirits. A Victorian pub was the perfect building for Owen Pacey to convert into a showroom for his reclaimed furniture store. But having aslo made his home above it, the more beautiful pieces he acquires dont't always linger downstairs for long. Even Paceys dog Missey is reclaimed, she was a stray that ended up at the local police station. renaissancelondon.com

Christmas Holiday

Christmas holiday this year was a great time for me with very mixed blessing, my mum was diagnose with cancer in early December, that was the reason for coming back from our house in India and since then most my time has been taken up with doctors and hospital visit. The good side has is that I have been with my mum much more than I would have normally done, we have become much closer and I feel good that I have been able to help. My family have made time for us all to be together and it was a great time of family, food and open fires and a real Christmas spirit .

I have not shot as much Christmases as I normally this year, this one was not to bad, sorry to sound humbug about it but if you had shot as many Krimbo as I have, you would know what I mean. I just feel its all so false, shops on the band wagon trying to start Christmas in October, sorry I will stop right there before I start getting comments about grumpy old men. Saturday Times Magazine Writer Vinny Lee

Roger Melly on the Telly

Little shoot for the Saturday Times and young TV presenter with his head well and truly screwed on, brought a problem plot in East London when the UK had not even won the Olympic bid and has now turned it into a very well thought out development right on the Olympic park door step, well done that man... find out the full story in a up and coming Times Mag issue.

Was someone talking about coulour

The Memphis group comprised of Italian designers and architects who created a series of highly influential products in the 1980's. They disagreed with the conformist approach at the time and challenged the idea that products had to follow conventional shapes, colours, textures and patterns. The Memphis group was founded in 1981. One of the leading members of the group Ettore Sottsass called Memphis design the 'New International Style'.Memphis was a reaction against the slick, black humorless design of the 1970's. It was a time of minimalism with such products as typewriters, buildings, cameras, cars and furniture all seeming to lack personality and individualism. Well that's the history lesson out the way and here is some of Tims latest work from Domus inspired by the above, always good to work with Timmy, me him, some good coffee and us two talking product design, cars, soul music and the odd picture here and there.

Ghoulie Ghost in the Halloween Tunnels

Late night last night, it was the Halloween Tunnel run for all those ghostly drop a coggers. Great turn out and a great fun and lots of laughs by all, the weather was good to us and me and Miss Angela had a great time, we got home about 3am and was lovely to wake up in a warm bed with the rain pouring down out side, follow by bacon rolls and lots of tea. Some of you may know that we over winter in Southern India and we leave soon, so the coming week is very full of shoots. Sorry that there has not been many photographic jobs posted but all my shoots lately have been for things that for contractual reason I could not publish on the blog but they have included shoots of royal airport lounges and apartment a boss of a F1 team, finished off the week with more stunning furniture with Gosling where does he get time to sleep.
